September weakness is viewed as a buying opportunity near ideal S&amp;P support at 2,120. Weakness falls within corrective parameters as long as we hold 2,100.S&amp;P sliding grind due to weak internals. Buying a September correction sets the stage for a solid rise into US elections if not year-end. A final push up in H shares and EEM looks that much harder with a rising USD. Use ST EM strength to adjust more defensively. S&amp;P can swing back up within the range on a bullish USD prior to September 2nd.Post Fed positioning – Hawkish spin saw the USD ignite off support, increasing EM equity/FX pressures. We will be re setting Asia FX shorts this week on USD dips. Long/short equity pair bets and increasing short exposure favored for September.DXY – Rally off of 94 pivot support unfolding and cleared 95.30 immediate hurdle with DXY 96.50 the bigger level to surpass to reach for 98.50.Europe – DAX average long now at 10,500 with pivot support at 10,380. Euro banks remain the Achilles heel and the short to work into for September weakness.EEM 36.50 was as our re load long zone (uptick to 37.20/50) but a strengthening USD implies we will see 34.50 in late September.Japan plan to re set Nikkei long near 16,000 for a drive to 17,200. USD/JPY above 101 is USD bullish. Fragile global cycle will offset a weak JPY initially.Asia longs –India long from Nifty 7,752 (sold another tranche Friday). H share long from 9,100 (average) with 9,400 pivot/risk support. Locked in HK financials and Ping An. Hyundai Motor 129.5k long. Thailand SET 50 906 long (banks from 520). Korea from 257.53. SEC fresh long at 1.617m. Indian bank long from 19,150 squared up.Asia shorts – SHK and HSI pair short for H share perform. Short TSMC and Taiwan. Re setting Indian bank short. Post bounce will lean on the EM short side.Cycles – September 2st marks an important time line after which we expect increased volatility and equity weakness (NFP as well). Equity bounce/reaction window opens up this week to re position. August 26 was tied to weaker metals and a stronger USD. September 10 and 16th are primary cycles dates with a more bullish cycle starting after September 22nd.
