Vinay was recently joined by Swapnil Manish, an investment banker and ex-ecommerce entrepreneur with more than 12 years of experience. Swapnil was the TMT banker at BNP Paribas and was part of several large M&A and ECM transactions (Bharti-Zain, Bharti Infratel IPO, Schneider-Zicom among several others). He's also had a stint as an ecommerce entrepreneur having launched & led Mumbai's first online grocery player.

<p>Matrimony.com, the leader in online matrimonial services in India, is raising US$ 78.5m via a public issue listing on NSE &amp; BSE. Around three-quarters of the issue is an offer for sale by promoters and PE investors while 25% is a fresh issuance of equity. The company is demanding premium valuations at 38x annualised June'17 quarter earnings (51x FY17 trailing earnings). The Company has a good brand recall and operates in a wide moat business, therefore, any new entrant will have to spend significantly on promotions to gain market share. The company has turned strongly profitable in FY17 and given the scalable nature of the business, the return ratio can rise significantly from current levels. Marquee anchors investors have already subscribed to Rs2.26bn out of Rs5bn of the issue on Friday and we believe that the issue will sail through successfully. We advise subscribing to the issue.</p>
