<p><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/link-administration-holdings-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:970:1" rel="noopener">Link Administration Holdings (LNK AU)</a> has rebuked KKR’s offer to acquire its prized asset PEXA, the world’s first digital property exchange platform, by announcing its intention to list PEXA on the ASX towards the end of June 2021.</p><p>Following a cornerstone bookbuild process, Link Administration has signed an underwriting agreement for the PEXA IPO at an EV of $3.3bn. This is around 5% higher than KKR’s offer, which valued PEXA at $3.0bn plus cash on the balance sheet at the date of settlement ($126m as of 31<sup>st</sup> March 2021).</p><p>We think the Australian property market is currently at the peak of its powers and that it offers limited upside potential in the immediate future. Moreover, there is a possibility for demand to fade towards the end of the year. Therefore, the wiser choice may have been to explore options to price up KKR’s offer.</p>

The proposal remained "open and capable of acceptance" until 5 pm on the 30 May. 


Link has now responded by announcing it would take PEXA public on with an enterprise value of A$3.3bn.
The proposed listing on the ASX may occur before the end of the next month, subject to ASX requirements.
