Athaporn served as Head of Research for UOB and ANZ in Thailand and was an award-winning telecoms analyst at UBS in 2010 (AsiaMoney Thailand category) and Regional Strategist for DMG in Singapore. Prior to that, he also served as Kasikornbank credit analyst and scholar. He has a total work experience of 22 years, of which 19 were in research and 9 in research management roles. He started his career as an engineer for PTT and currently manages family investments. He holds an MBA from Stern (NYU) and CFA Charter since 2006.

In this review, we look at the possibilities of military robotics in future conflicts on the back of Syria and North Korea. There are three reasons why it could be a big deal for America if they want to remain the world's number one empire: 1) population; 2) human rights; and 3) economics. Hankook and Boston Dynamics, currently a Google subsidiary, look like leaders in this emerging area, but eventually, someone with deep pockets like Amazon might emerge as the field's leader. Sadly, there's no listed defense contractor in Thailand, and Thai Rung (TRU), which makes some military vehicles, isn't somewhere you wanna put your money yo.
