Technical Analysis

<a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/nikkei-225" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:22909:1">Nikkei 225 (NKY INDEX)</a> has carried through with the bear cycle outlined on February 17 in our insight <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/insights/nikkei-triple-top-threat" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-smartkarma-citation="insights:36681">Nikkei Triple Top Threat</a> and has broken macro trendline support. Triple tops in the macro and tactical cycle all pointed to a harder decline within our March global bear cycle scenario (into late March).We were looking for micro low support near 20k which has broken today on the back of the WTI move and worse than expected economic contraction.Emphasis is placed on the weekly chart (right hand) that broke below macro trendline support last week which downgraded our bear view to 19,500 price support shown.USD/JPY has also come unglued on risk aversion and the sell call from 109.50 playing out. Risk lies down to the 100 level but the BOJ is soon to step to halt the decline.
