Technical Analysis

Microsoft, Amazon and Apple hold (have held) the strongest chart postures but showing exhaustion with divergences brewing. Netflix and Google hold weaker stances. Maturing rising wedge formations warn of distribution unfolding. Bear divergences in the strong cluster (x Amazon) warns of a top forming hard bear phase if outlined supports gives way and would see the strong group succumb to the weaker stock postures.Rising wedge formations show a similar set up to the NDX rising wedge. Tech is the last leg of support for US equities given core sectors continue to underperform (industrials, small caps, banks, transports). A peak in tech would set the stage for the SPX to re break below the important 2,950 level.
