<li>In addition, I have discussed some trading opportunities with interesting potential index flow dynamics.</li>

Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

Periscope Analytics works with multi-strategy hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, stat arb trading groups and long-only investors that invest and trade in the Asia Pacific region with the data being used to trade index rebalances, avoid pre-positioning and passive flow, and to time entry into and exit from stocks.

Event-Driven Trades Across Asia Pacific

<li>Nearing the end of the review period, we see 5 stocks moving from MidCap to LargeCap, 2 new listings added to LargeCap and 7 stocks moving from LargeCap to MidCap.</li>
<li>We see 7 stocks moving from SmallCap to MidCap, 3 new listings added to MidCap, and 12 stocks moving from MidCap to SmallCap.</li>
<li>Stock migrating upward have, on average, outperformed stocks that are downward migrations. Stocks moving from MidCap to LargeCap have performed the best.</li>
</ul>


Nearing the end of the review period, we see 5 stocks moving from MidCap to LargeCap, 2 new listings added to LargeCap and 7 stocks moving from LargeCap to MidCap.
We see 7 stocks moving from SmallCap to MidCap, 3 new listings added to MidCap, and 12 stocks moving from MidCap to SmallCap.
Stock migrating upward have, on average, outperformed stocks that are downward migrations. Stocks moving from MidCap to LargeCap have performed the best.

<li>Below is a look at the names leading the race to become Adds and Deletes for NIFTY 50, NIFTY 100, and NIFTY 500 in September 2022.</li>

There is a high probability of Tata Power (TPWR IN), Indian Railway Catering and Tourism (IRCTC IN), Bharat Electronics (BHE IN) and Mphasis Ltd (MPHL IN) being added to the index.
High probability deletions are Lupin Ltd (LPC IN), Jubilant Foodworks (JUBI IN), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd (ZYDUSLIF IN), Punjab National Bank (PNB IN) and Steel Authority of India (SAIL IN).


NIFTY100 Index Rebalance Preview: Five Potential Changes in September

<li>Two-Thirds of the way through the review period, we see 7 stocks migrating from MidCap to LargeCap, 8 stocks from LargeCap to MidCap, and 1 new listing added to LargeCap.</li>
<li>Post listing, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/life-insurance-corp-of-india-lic" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:28829:1" rel="noopener">Life Insurance Corp of India (LIC) (1248Z IN)</a> should be added to the LargeCap segment while <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/delhivery-pvt-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:33471:1" rel="noopener">Delhivery (1058656D IN)</a> should be added to the MidCap segment.</li>
<li>On average, stocks expected to migrate from Mid Cap to Large Cap have outperformed. Stocks expected to migrate from the Large Cap to Mid Cap segment have performed the worst.</li>

Post listing, Life Insurance Corp of India (LIC) (1248Z IN) should be added to the LargeCap segment while Delhivery (1058656D IN) should be added to the MidCap segment.
On average, stocks expected to migrate from Mid Cap to Large Cap have outperformed. Stocks expected to migrate from the Large Cap to Mid Cap segment have performed the worst.


India: Preview of Stock Reclassification for Active Funds

India

NTPC Ltd. owns and operates power generation plants that supply power to state electricity boards throughout India.  The Company is a public sector undertaking of the Government of India and it also undertakes turnkey consulting projects to set up power plants.

JSW Energy Limited generates power by using Corex gas and coal. The Company, through its subsidiary, also operates lignite thermal power plant in Rajasthan and has a capacity to produce 3,140 megawatts of electricity. JSW is also present in the power trading and transmission businesses.

NHPC Ltd is a hydro-power development company based in India. The Company has constructed approximately 11 hydro-power projects in India and abroad with a total installed capacity of 2554.35 MW.

Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited generates and distributes power, mines and processes lignite, manufactures fertilizers & chemicals and processes and sells clay of all kinds. The Company's other activities include the briquetting and carbonization of lignite and its main products include electric power, lignite, nekolin, pulverized nekolin, urea, coke fines and leco.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd. generates electricity.  The Company operates a private sector hydroelectric power plant.

RattanIndia Infrastructure Limited, through a subsidiary, develops electricity generating plants.  The Company is building a coal-fired plant in Nandgaonpeth in the Amravati District of Maharashtra State, and a coal-fired plant in Sinnar in the Nasik District of Maharashtra State.

Reliance Power Limited develops, constructs, and operates power projects both domestically and internationally.

RattanIndia Power Limited develops, constructs and operates power projects domestically and internationally. The Company is participating in various Coal based Thermal,Hydro and Renewable Energy projects as well as is actively pursuing various coal mining opportunities.

PTC India Ltd buys and sells electricity.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been established by the Government of India as the central transmission utility of India. The mandate for the corporation is establishment and operation of EHV. AC & HVDC transmission lines, sub-stations, load dispatch centers and communications facilities throughout India.

RWE Aktiengesellschaft is a globally active energy company. The Company generates and trades electricity. RWE has a capacity of about 10 gigawatts based on renewable sources, as well as gas fleet and an internationally active energy trading business. RWE serves clients in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States.

China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. is a nuclear energy power producer. The Company invests in, constructs, manages and operates nuclear power plants throughout China.

Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc. provides hydropower generation services. The Company offers electricity transmission, electricity distribution, power transformation, and other related services. Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower also provides clean energy development services.

Huaneng Power International, Inc. develops, constructs, owns and operates coal-fired power plants throughout China. It also builds gas-fired, hydroelectric and wind power generation in China and owns Tuas Power which controls power generation facilities in Singapore.

CGN Power Co., Ltd. operates and manages nuclear power generating stations. The Company sells all of the electricity from its stations, manages, oversees the construction of nuclear power stations, and provides technical research plus develops support services. CGN Power has stations in Guangdong, Fujian and Liaoning, and is a subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Corporation.

SDIC Power Holdings Co Ltd . generates thermal electric and hydroelectric power. The electric power generated by the Company are supplied to Gansu area.

Sichuan Chuantou Energy Co., Ltd. invests in electric power projects through its subsidiaries, the Company also develops and manufactures cable, railroad control systems and other automation equipment.

Adani Power Ltd is a power project development company. The Company develops, operates and maintains power projects in India.
