Despite offering exposure to the fast-growing alternative meat market in Europe and the US at a discounted valuation, the Philippines' largest-ever IPO, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/monde-nissin-corp" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:32188:1" rel="noopener">Monde Nissin Corp (MONDE PM)</a> had a relatively subdued start on market debut.A weak opening did not surprise us, given the size of the IPO and the recent IPO performance on the Philippines Stock Exchange. Nonetheless, we noticed that IPOs in the Philippines have generally performed well after the stabilization period. Monde Nissin ended the stabilization period on 30th June 2021 at P16.52 per share, up 22% from the IPO price.Having analysed the past IPOs on the Philippines Stock Exchange, we think this could just be the beginning of a bull run that could go on for a while.
