<p>On Tuesday, August 17, I participated in the analyst meeting of Tsubaki Nakashima (6464) to review the company's financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2021. The results for the second quarter, which had already been announced on Tuesday, August 10, were robust, with both sales and profit exceeding the guidance announced in February. The full-year outlook for FY12/2021 was also strong, with an upward revision of 13.5% in sales and 16.4% in operating income. At the analyst meeting, the company explained that the upwardly revised full-year guidance was included the risk of the slowdown of China's economy as well as the decline in automobile production due to the shortage of semiconductors. At the same time of the financial report on August 10, the company also announced the issuance of 10 billion yen in hybrid bonds.</p>
