This week I briefly look at the ongoing bifurcation in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/22691" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:22691:1">Sina Corp (Class A) (SINA US)</a> vs. %-held <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/3826" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:3826:1">Weibo Corp (ADR) (WB US)</a> after its MI double down; and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/347" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:347:1">Jardine Cycle &amp; Carriage Ltd (JCNC SP)</a>'s discount to NAV of ~23% provides a cheap entry point into <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/46" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:46:1">Astra International Tbk Pt (ASII IJ)</a>.These relationships trade with a minimum liquidity threshold of US$1mn on a 90-day moving average, and a % market capitalisation threshold - the $ value of the holding/opco held, over the parent’s market capitalisation, expressed as a % - of at least 20%.A detailed NAV for a number of these parent/holding relationships highlighted can be found in our holdco monitor.My comments on SINA and JCNC follow the weekly setup/unwind tables.
