JD Logistics is the largest player in China's integrated supply chain logistics services market in terms of revenue in 2019.</p><p>The company generated revenue of 49.8 billion RMB in 2019 (up 31.6% YoY) and 49.5 billion RMB in 1Q-3Q 2020 (up 43.2% YoY). The company's revenue growth has been solid in the past three years. The employee benefit expenses as a percentage of sales declined nicely from 45.1% in 2018 to 39.5% in 2019, and 36.1% in 1Q-3Q 2020, which suggests improving economies of scale and a greater efficiency of its employees.</p><p>One of the long-term positive trends for JD Logistics is that it will continue to capitalize on the 5G, AI, big data, cloud computing and IoT to improve its capabilities in automation and digitalization of the logistics services. At the end of 2020, the company employed 258.7k employees.
