Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Perhaps the most important thing which supports our bullish outlook is the continued lack of breakdowns on all S&amp;P 500 Sectors and all the major averages. With the S&amp;P 500 breaking above the June highs and the Russell 2000 bullishly inflecting topside a ~1-month base, it signals a continuation of the uptrends that began in March... see charts below. Therefore, we continue to have a bullish outlook and we believe the path of least resistance remains higher. Global Equity Strategy: Stay on the Defensive

Positive news surrounding trade and dovish Fed rhetoric has continued to flow, resulting in a reversal from December's oversold extremes to our current, overbought extremes according to the S&amp;P 500’s percentage of stocks above their 50-day moving average (see chart below). We continue to believe the market is going through a bottoming process, and we prefer to be on the cautious side at current levels considering how far and how quickly the market has risen. In today’s report we highlight attractive stocks within Materials and Technology: large- and small-cap gold, silver, platinum, and optical equipment companies.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. is a mining company dedicated to the exploration and development of precious metal resources with a focus on gold. The Company's Morelos Project is an advanced stage gold exploration property located in the state of Guerrero, southwest of Mexico City.

SSR Mining Inc. operates as a precious metal mining company. The Company focuses on operation, development, exploration, and acquisition of precious metal projects which includes gold, silver, and mineral properties. SSR Mining serves electronics, coin fabrication, dentistry, jewelry, other industrial, technology, pharmaceuticals, and solar energy markets in the Americas.

Osisko Mining Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company. The Company focuses on the acquisition, exploration and development of precious metal resource properties in Canada.

Sabina Gold & Silver Corporation explores and develops mineral properties.  The Company is a precious metals exploration Company with a portfolio of different properties in Canada at different stages of development. Sabina explores for minerals that include copper, gold and silver.
