Thailand: Economic woes persists while political temperature rises again<ul><li>Economic troubles extend their presence in Thailand and will partly contribute to the rising political temperature. Fractious politicking took a backseat when the junta forcibly took over the reins of governance but is set for a return as the military government fails miserably in shoring up economic prospects.</li><li>Manufacturing, exports and inflation are leading the slide in growth while the recovery in tourism and a nascent uptick in fiscal expenditures are the sole bright spots.</li><li>Thailand is set for a gloomy 2015 barring an upside surprise from the US, given that the constraints faced in employing monetary easing and the stalling of fiscal spending.
