Vermilion’s objective is to deliver timely, actionable, and unique technical research to professional investors through the application of our various technical indicators.

Our research strategists seek to highlight securities which we believe are at major inflection points, based on our various technical and quantitative indicators, and offer asymmetric risk/return profiles. Our unique research methodology, centered on relative strength, enables our strategists to deliver superior investment recommendations.

Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Technical Analysis

<li>Since mid-April we discussed how downside was limited on MSCI ACWI and EURO STOXX 50, and May 2nd discussed it was "quite possible" the lows were in.</li>
<li>Now, the MSCI ACWI, ACWI ex-US, EAFE, and EM indexes have all broken out to new multi-year highs. Our bullish outlook (since early-November 2023) remains intact; expect higher prices ahead.</li>
<li>China (MSCI China) continues to lead the EM turnaround, and we remain bullish on the space. We highlight many large-cap EM buys within Communications, Technology, Discretionary; we remain bullish miners.</li>

<li>Another important thing to note is that none of these breakouts are failing; they all remain above their major breakout levels, a very bullish sign. We remain bullish.</li>

SJM Holdings Limited offers amusement and recreation services.  The Company operates casinos, hotels, and other tourism-related facilities in Macau.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited develops, owns, and operates casinos. The Company offers casino gaming, restaurants, bars, and resorts facilities. Melco Resorts & Entertainment serves customers in Asia.

Shangri-La Asia Limited, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates hotels, and provides management and related services.  The Company also leases offices, commercial, residential and exhibition hall space.

Melco International Development Limited, through its subsidiaries, operates investment banking, financial services, technology, fine-dining, leisure and tourism, property investment, and investment businesses. The Company carries on financial service businesses under the VC CFN and VC CEF brand names.  Melco also customizes and sells trading and back office systems under the iAsia name.

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, through its subsidiaries, operates and manages hotels, food, beverage outlets, and clubs. The Company also invests in properties.

China Travel International Investment Hong Kong Limited, through its subsidiaries, operates tourist attractions, golf clubs, hotels, and other travel related activities.  The Company also provides passenger transportation as well as freight forwarding and cargo services.

Fosun Tourism Group operates as a leisure focused integrated tourism group. The Company provides resorts management, tourism destinations development, and other related services. Fosun Tourism Group offers its services worldwide.

Genting Singapore Limited, through its subsidiaries, develops resort properties as well as operates casinos. The Company has casinos and integrated resorts in different parts of the world, including Australia, the Americas, Malaysia, the Philippines and the United Kingdom.

McDonald's Holdings Company (Japan), Ltd. operates a hamburger fast food restaurant chain throughout Japan.  The Company operates its own stores and franchise stores.

Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. owns and operates fast food chains. The Company offers donuts, baked goods, coffee, bagels, muffin, fruit milkshakes, smoothies, tea, sandwiches, pizza, and beverages. Jubilant Foodworks serves its products to customers throughout India.

Jollibee Foods Corporation owns, franchises and manages a network of fast food restaurants under the trade name Jollibee. The Company was incorporated in 1978.

Minor International PCL is a global company focused on three primary businesses including restaurants, hotels and lifestyle brands distribution.

The Wendy's Company operates fast-food restaurants. The Company owns, operates, and franchises fast-food restaurants located throughout countries that include the United States, Singapore, the Middle East and North Africa, the Russian Federation, the Eastern Caribbean, Argentina, the Philippines and Japan.

ZENSHO Holdings CO., LTD. operates a fast food chain specialized in GYUDON which serves bowls of rice topped with seasoned beef based in Kanto.      The Company operates also diversifying into other types of food chains such as "Coco's" and "Big Boy" in Japan.

Planet Fitness, Inc. owns and operates a chain of fitness clubs. The Company offers offers personal fitness training programs for its members. Planet Fitness serves customers in the United States.

Choice Hotels International, Inc. franchises hotel properties.  The Company franchises hotels throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, as well as other countries.  Choice Hotels' properties operate under the Comfort, Quality, Clarion, Sleep, Rodeway, Econo Lodge, and MainStay brand names.

Genting Berhad is an investment holding company.  The Company, through its subsidiaries, provides leisure and hospitality, gaming, and entertainment businesses. Genting also operates plantations, develops and manages property, provides tours and travel related services, manufactures and trades paper, explores oil and gas, and provides money lending services.

MGM China Holdings Ltd. owns a luxury resort, hotel, and casino located in Macau. The Company is also exploring other casino gaming development opportunities in Macau.
