<li>Overall, net inflow was ~US$0.8bn, split (roughly) US$0.2bn for Shanghai and US$0.6bn Shenzhen.</li>

Overall, net inflow was ~US$0.8bn, split (roughly) US$0.2bn for Shanghai and US$0.6bn Shenzhen.
The largest inflows were into  CNOOC Ltd (883 HK), China Mobile (941 HK), and Kuaishou Technology (1024 HK). The largest outflows were in Tencent (700 HK) and ICBC (1398 HK).

Jiayuan Services Holdings Limited / Event-Driven

<li>On the 21 May, <strong><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jinke-property-group-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:13291:1" rel="noopener">Jinke Property (000656 CH)</a></strong> announced the forced sale of shares by its controlling shareholder. One day later, <strong><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jiayuan-international-group" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:22631:1" rel="noopener">Jiayuan International (2768 HK)</a></strong> announced a similar event. </li>
<li>Jinke's 52.3%-owned <strong><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jinke-smart-services-group-co" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:29214:1" rel="noopener">Jinke Smart (9666 HK)</a></strong> has now announced an agreement to acquire Jiayuan International's 73.56% stake in property service play <strong><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jiayuan-services-holdings-limited" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:29205:1" rel="noopener">Jiayuan Services Holdings (1153 HK)</a></strong>. No price was announced.</li>
<li>In the past month, Jinke Property is down 24%, Jinke Smart 23%, Jiayuan International 54% and Jiayuan Services 80%. Jiayuan International and Jiayuan Services remain suspended.</li>

On the 21 May, Jinke Property (000656 CH) announced the forced sale of shares by its controlling shareholder. One day later, Jiayuan International (2768 HK) announced a similar event. 
Jinke's 52.3%-owned Jinke Smart (9666 HK) has now announced an agreement to acquire Jiayuan International's 73.56% stake in property service play Jiayuan Services Holdings (1153 HK). No price was announced.
In the past month, Jinke Property is down 24%, Jinke Smart 23%, Jiayuan International 54% and Jiayuan Services 80%. Jiayuan International and Jiayuan Services remain suspended.

<li>There are 10 trading days to implementation and we expect the inclusions to outperform the market. A long inclusion basket can be hedged with CSI300 index futures.</li>

There are 28 changes for the Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 Index (SHSZ300 INDEX) at the upcoming rebalance that will be implemented at the close of trading on 10 December.
The inclusion of ChiNext stocks with 1 year of listing history (down from 3 years) and the inclusion of other large stocks results in a one-way turnover greater than 10%.
There are 10 trading days to implementation and we expect the inclusions to outperform the market. A long inclusion basket can be hedged with CSI300 index futures.

<p>The review period ended on 29 October and we see 26 potential changes at the December rebalance. Of these, 23 are high probability changes with another 3 likely to take place.</p>

Given the trading history of past rebalances, we recommend buying the potential inclusions and selling the potential exclusions over the next couple of weeks and unwinding the positions post the end of the review period.
