Technical Analysis

<li>China A shares has been our top long pick but near 14,700 is due to reverse. Taiwan and Korea were top shorts followed by India (lagging Asia's decline).</li>
<li>Near A50 14,700 resistance would bring the HSI back into our top short group. HSI and H shares display slowing upside momentum.</li>
<li>USD/JPY near our 137 PT is set for a tactical top/pullback while a JGB fade could see the Nikkei jolt lower.</li>

<ul><li>A better way to think of the Hong Kong Market in the current cycle is that it has both US &amp; China's economic headwinds and requires sharply lower rates and currency to correct macro imbalances.</li><li>HKMA should be cutting interest rates, but it cannot do so due to the currency peg.</li><li>Over the last 12-18 months, Hong Kong developers have enjoyed stability in expectations of reopening borders, investment demand, strong balance sheet compared to mainland developers, and low funding costs (HIBOR). These tailwinds are now headwinds.</li></ul>

There will be buying on SenseTime Group (20 HK) from HSCEI INDEX and HSTECH INDEX trackers. But there is also a big lock-up expiry on 29 June.

It helped Alibaba to rally spectacularly.</li><li>As I am looking for a retest of technology stocks, I will go for stop out until I get more clarity on long ideas.</li></ul>
