On average, 
The first sector is Consumer, where H/A spreads widened on average 2.7% for the week, more than cancelling out the average 1.7% spread narrowing last week. With the exception of <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/hisense-home-appliances-group-co-ltd-h" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20107:1" rel="noopener">Hisense Home Appliances Group Co., Ltd. H (921 HK)</a>, this happened as the H-shares rose strongly and the A-Shares rose even more strongly.  
Southbound investors through the Shenzhen-HK and Shanghai-HK Connect were significant net sellers during the week in both <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/tsingtao-brewery-co-ltd-h" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:1296:1" rel="noopener">Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd H (168 HK)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/hisense-home-appliances-group-co-ltd-h" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20107:1" rel="noopener">Hisense Home Appliances Group Co., Ltd. H (921 HK)</a> where the net selling activity amounted to 15.5% and 22% of volume respectively. 
Hisense remains at the overbought end of the 52-week range. <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/great-wall-motor-co-ltd-cb302af9-398c-4d2d-ba39-023e43287eef" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:128:1" rel="noopener">Great Wall Motor (2333 HK)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/guangzhou-automobile-group-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:11082:1" rel="noopener">Guangzhou Automobile Group (2238 HK)</a> are now at 52-week wides.

Last week's recommendation was to take off Hisense and the H-share fell 7.3% while the spread widened 0.7%. It is still probably worth unwinding. At this point, Great Wall and Guangzhou are worth a buy on a spread basis.

<a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/nexteer-automotive-group-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:15483:1" rel="noopener">Nexteer Automotive (1316 HK)</a> share price has blown out in the past week, raising the question of whether it is time to sell or hold. 
The company has a pipeline of exciting and futuristic product innovation that will keep its existing customers (conventional automakers) happy while also winning more mandates in the EV industry.   
There will be a slight margin decline in the 2H 2020 from the North American customers but the increasing proportion of Chinese customers should help to plug the gap. The company is still trading on the 49% and 48% discount on PER and EV/EBITDA of its customers respectively.

Nexteer Automotive (1316 HK) share price has blown out in the past week, raising the question of whether it is time to sell or hold. 
The company has a pipeline of exciting and futuristic product innovation that will keep its existing customers (conventional automakers) happy while also winning more mandates in the EV industry.

From a credit perspective, Nexteer's debt-to-equity ratio is also very low compared to the Japanese small-cap peers such as Futaba and KYB and even compared to its two largest customers, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/general-motors-co" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:18811:1" rel="noopener">General Motors Co (GM US)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/ford-motor-co" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:19225:1" rel="noopener">Ford Motor Co (F US)</a> at 202% and 390% debt to equity ratio respectively. 
Nexteer is trading at a 30-37% discount to its peers and compared to the Chinese auto suppliers such as Minth, Fuyao and Huayu, Nexteer is also trading at a 55% discount in EV/EBITDA, 33% discount in PER, and 61% in PBR. 
As the Chinese auto sector recovers earlier compared to the US, the company's earnings should start to recover and its profitability should also increase, therefore, its share price should increase correspondingly. BUY.

Without strength in GAC's  <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/guangzhou-automobile-group-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:11082:1" rel="noopener">Guangzhou Automobile Group (2238 HK)</a> own core product - its Trumpchi branded SUVs, the stock may not be able to re-rate despite being a share price laggard YTD. We estimate that Trumpchi accounted for c.37% of GAC's core pre-tax profit when the share price peaked in 4Q17 (vs. operating loss in 1H20). Without this profit contribution from Trumpchi and with the stock already trading at an expensive 11.5x forward P/E, we do not believe the stock has a favorable risk/reward.
