Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

PDD Holdings, Full Truck Alliance, Vipshop Holdings, TAL Education and ZEEKR are the largest China ADRs with no HK listing and could come under pressure.


What if China ADRs Are Delisted from US Exchanges?

<li>SOUTHBOUND was again a net buyer, for HK$27.2bn this week, on small two-way volumes. <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/china-mobile-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:27:1" rel="noopener">China Mobile (941 HK)</a> dominated as it reached dividend ex-date. Other high-div SOEs also saw buying.</li>
<li>It is not clear how much of this is H/A discounts, expected dividend tax removal, and the KPIs for SOE CEOs to raise prices and payout ratios, but it continues.</li>
<li>Valuations are acceptable. Flows are good. Policy changes are afoot. SOUTHBOUND may continue to see inflows - national team and otherwise.</li>

The risk-reward payoff has improved.</li>
<li>Historically, there is no long-term correlation between oil prices and share prices. Hence, we should not be overfocused on the recent pullback in oil prices.</li>
<li>Although the market consensus is high, FY24 should still see growth. The 3Q24 VLCC spot rate is 27.4% higher YoY, potentially boosting quarterly results and sustaining a high FY24 yield. </li>
