ABM Investama’s 9M/20 results remained soft, due to the challenging operating environment. However, the numbers were generally better than those of pure-play coal miners. The company's strength lies in its integrated operations across the coal value chain, which partially mitigate the cyclical nature of the operating environment. Revenue was flat, while profitability slipped slightly. The financial risk profile deteriorated marginally, on account of the lower earnings. Liquidity should be adequate for the next 12 months. However, refinancing risk for the USD 350 mn 2022 Notes will surface soon.
