Asia HY Monthly - Chinese Property Update (2021) - Lucror Analytics

Road King’s results continued to be weaker than expected in FY 2020. The gross-margin decline persisted, resulting in lower gross profit and EBITDA. Moreover, the company’s debt continued to soar, as it ramped up land acquisitions in H2. Road King has a relatively small land bank compared to peers, which we believe will constrain deleveraging over the near term. Cash distributions from its toll-roads declined as a result of COVID-19, and covered just 18% of interest expense in FY 2020.
