<li>China's economic growth is slowing but not enough to prompt Beijing to blink in trade standoff with the US over trade.</li>
<li>So far in 2018 Beijing has cut the Reserve Ratio Requirement 3 times, cut import tariffs and raised infrastructure spending plans. </li>
<li>In recent weeks alone we have seen them talking up the stock market, discussing reduced tariffs on imported cars, increase export tax refunds and cut personal taxes.</li>
<li>The rhetoric out of Beijing has been strong as well.  Recent comments from the Commerce Ministry that: Washington’s hardline trade war stance will not help “solve the problems” in the countries’ dispute   indicate that battle lines are being drawn.</li>
<li>A recent editorial from the Chinese Communist Party main newspaper stated: "China will not surrender to the US, nor could it ignore the trade war. The only way is to face it and win it."</li>
<li>The US recently stated that the ball is in China's court to restart trade talks that broke down in September,  The position out of Washington is that China has to come up with a news set of proposals to restart talks.</li>
<li>With sales of US soybeans to China down to almost nothing and higher prices likely to hit consumer products in 2019 it seems that the US will start feeling the pinch of the trade war soon.</li>
