Japan's financial daily, the Nikkei Shimbun, previewed Sharp's Q1 earnings today, saying that sales during the April to June (Q1 of fiscal 2017) quarter grew by around 20% YoY to Y500bn ($450m) and net profit came to around Y15bn ($135m), the third quarterly net profit in a row since Hon Hai took over management of Sharp. Hon Hai's public relations team has most likely leaked these numbers to Nikkei reporters, but if true, the numbers look powerful for Q1 and indicate a possibly much stronger…
