<p>The name Naturecell is probably the most publicized stock, rather largely in bad ways, in Korea over the last two years. It does manufacture many things. But stem cell is what it is known for. In fact, its flagship stem cell therapy called Joint Stem is currently in US phase 3 clinical trial. The company was at the center of public attention last year for stock-rigging. This is still Korea's biggest stock scandal to date. The major shareholder and CEO Ra Jeong-chan got actually sentenced 3 years jail with 4 years' stay of execution on the charge that he had manipulated stock market using false and misleading company information since 2017. Now, Naturecell is back again. This time, it made a surprising announcement of a ₩60bil rights offer. </p>
