<p style="text-align: justify;">Korea’s ruling coalition government swept this month’s national assembly elections and President Moon’s approval ratings have soared on the back of the government’s success in bringing the Covid-19 outbreak under control. Korea’s policymakers have been quick to ease monetary policy and expand fiscal support to individuals and businesses affected by the crisis. We are nonetheless bearish about the economic outlook and remain underweight Korean equities.</p>
