<li>Russia: Aug CPI 3.1% y/y (Up from 2.5% in July). It was the highest inflation rate since August of 2017, mainly due to higher food prices.</li>
<li>Brazil: CPI in August +4.19% y/y after increasing 4.48% in July. Lower b/c of slowing prices of transport and housing. </li>
<li>South Africa: GDP growth in Q2 rose 0.4%, down from 0.8% in Q1. The outlook is not very encouraging, although political strife has diminished.</li>
