Albert brings over three decades of experience from the financial industry, having worked with top institutions across the UK, Americas, and Asia. His broad expertise spans investments in multiple asset classes and extends to risk management.

In a previous role, Albert served as the Head of Alternative Investments at Shinsei Bank in Japan, where he oversaw a varied portfolio comprising private equity, hedge funds, reinsurance, credit, and other assets. His distinguished career has seen partnerships with prestigious institutions such as HVB, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Nomura International, Mariner Investment Group, Allied Capital Asset Management, and the Central Bank of Chile.

Albert is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and is an alumnus of the Universidad Católica de Chile, with a degree in Business and Economics

The icing maybe different this time, but the cake tastes the same it did decades ago.The currency crisis in Emerging markets that started earlier on this month with the collapse of Turkey’s currency has now resumed and intensified, with Argentina overtaking Turkey for the top place. On a year to date basis, the Argentina's peso is now down -51.96%, Turkish lira -43.54% and the Brazilian Real, -20.17% just to mention the worst performing currencies. But there are many more: South African Rand, Russian Ruble, Indian Rupee, even the Chilean Peso is down -9.43% year to date. A dangerous mix of turmoil on the back of liquid and risk averse markets. What next?
