I've been asked whether dissenting shareholders can vote at an EGM at these US-listed China play mergers. The answer is yes, as the rights that they lose as shareholders are only forgone after the EGM has taken place. That said, in practice, prospective merger arb dissenters generally abstain from casting any votes (either way) at the EGM. This implies a maximum % dissension for HOLI of ~23%.
