<p>Genting HK suspended debt repayments to creditors in August 2020 to preserve funds for critical services.  It owed creditors USD3.4 billion and appointed restructuring advisors, Alvarez &amp; Marsal, to formulate a financial restructuring plan and a business turnaround plan to exit a pandemic stricken state.  With restructuring negotiations concluded, together with the re-opening of some of its key markets such as Hong Kong, we examine Genting HK's balance sheet strength post restructuring and its viability as a post pandemic travel and hospitality recovery play. </p>
