Li & Fung: Nervous Action Ahead of Scheme Vote

The resolution to approve <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/li-fung-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:6290:1" rel="noopener">Li &amp; Fung Ltd (494 HK)</a>'s Scheme was approved by the Scheme Shareholders at the Court Meeting today.
The vote outcome was largely binary. The blocking stake at the Scheme Meeting was 568.9mn shares or 6.662% of shares out. And Silchester has 10.9%. 
The headcount test also applied to the Scheme as L&amp;F is a Bermuda-incorporated company. 
Turnout was 2,513.6mn shares (of Disinterested Shareholders), or 44.2% of those independent shareholders eligible to vote on the Scheme resolutions. 
Of those shares present or via proxy, 97.14% voted for the Scheme, and only 1.26% of All Disinterested Shareholders, voted against.
Silchester clearly did not vote against the Scheme. But it is not clear it voted For the Scheme.
The "majority in number" headcount test was also satisfied.
Shares will trade up until the close of trading this Friday, the 15 May. 
This transaction is now done. Cheques will be dispatched on or before the 1 June.
