Velocys plc, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the design and development of smaller scale gas-to-liquids (GTL), a technology that produces liquid fuels and specialty chemicals from undervalued natural gas, waste, or biomass. Its GTL technology turns natural gas or biomass into premium products, such as diesel, jet fuel, waxes, and base oils. The company develops microchannel reactors and super-active catalysts for gas-to-liquids and biomass-to-liquids.
