Our research strategists seek to highlight securities which we believe are at major inflection points, based on our various technical and quantitative indicators, and offer asymmetric risk/return profiles. Our unique research methodology, centered on relative strength, enables our strategists to deliver superior investment recommendations.

Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Technical Analysis

In our October 1 Int’l Compass we highlighted our belief that the lows were in place for this recent correction and that, combined with mostly healthy market dynamics, a bullish outlook is appropriate if the MSCI ACWI (ACWI-US) is above $77 support and, if the MSCI EM (EEM-US) is above $42.30 support. These indexes and market dynamics have only improved since October 1. As a result, our outlook remains bullish and we continue to believe that the path of least resistance is higher for global equities. Global Equity Strategy: Bullish Outlook Intact

Despite several indexes recently touching new 52+ week highs, broad global indexes (MSCI ACWI, ACWI ex-US, EAFE, and EM) remain near logical resistance, and indicators continue to send mixed signals. As a result we are hesitant to get too bullish or bearish. Instead we want to focus on Sector/Group/industry themes where we bottoming price and RS, or attractive pullback opportunities within established price and RS uptrends.  In this report we highlight such opportunities, within the Technology, Consumer Staples and Services Sectors.

This report highlights actionable set ups from predominately European, developed markets, and is supportive of our view that Europe is bottoming, a viewpoint that remains far from consensus. Within Europe, we put a spotlight on Germany’s DAX and France’s CAC 40. Today’s recommendations are primarily from cyclical Sectors, however European Consumer Staples also exhibits bottoming RS.

This report highlights actionable set ups from predominately European, developed markets, and is supportive of our view that Europe is bottoming, a viewpoint that remains far from consensus. These ongoing improvements further cement our positive overall outlook, and we continue to believe that global equities (MSCI ACWI) are poised for additional strength moving forward. In our April International Strategy, we highlight various themes which lead to our overall positive outlook, along with areas within the world's markets where we see immediate opportunity.

Global Ex-U.S. Equity Strategy: Positive Outlook Intact; Remain Overweight China

We view weakness in global equity markets over the past week as correcting a significant amount of the excess optimism. We recommend taking advantage of the pullback by adding exposure to our favorite areas - namely Technology. Our overall outlook on global equities (both the MSCI ACWI and ACWI ex-US) remains positive and we continue to expect higher equity prices going forward.  In today’s report we provide a technical appraisal of all major markets and highlight actionable stocks throughout the int’l Technology and Communications sectors.

We view weakness in global equity markets over the past week as correcting a significant amount of the excess optimism. Global-Ex-U.S. Equity Strategy: Add Exposure To Technology, Communications

The Company manufactures molecular beam epitaxy production systems used to research compound semiconductors such as gallium arsenides, indium phosphides, nitrides, SiGe, SiC, diamond, and other materials.  Riber markets its machinery in Europe, the Asia Pacific region, and North America.

Alten SA offers consulting and engineering services in telecommunications, computer systems, networking, multimedia, defense, aviation, and information systems.

Sopra Steria Group offers consulting and computer services.  The Company offers strategic marketing, organization, human resources, and information systems consulting services, integrates and configures software packages, offers computer training services, designs and develops custom information technology systems, and offers outsourced applications maintenance services.

Worldline SA creates and operates digital transaction processing platforms. The Company offers merchant services and terminals, mobility and transactional services, financial processing and software licensing. Worldline services business around the world.

UbiSoft Entertainment SA produces, edits, and distributes video games.  The Company also produces educational software.  UbiSoft's products are sold internationally on CD-Rom and through the Internet.  The Company also licenses its games to Nintendo, Sega, and Sony.

Esker S.A. designs and produces software applications for business management processes. The Company offers dematerialization solutions, fax server products, and host access products. Esker's products enables the automation and flow of documents into, within and out of the organization.

Axway Software S.A. operates in software development. The Company specializes in Business Interaction Network services and manages, secures and monitors all business interactions, such as files, messaging services, events, and processes. Axway also provides support services and training.

Neopost SA manufactures mailing and shipping equipment.  The Company produces electronic mailing systems, electronic postal scales, computerized shipping and mail accounting systems, folders and inserters, letter openers, mailroom furnishings, addressing printers, and software and mailroom supplies.  Neopost markets its machines worldwide.

Atos SE is a digital services company. The Company offers supply chain management, data warehousing, enterprise application integration, document management, geomarketing, data mining, e-marketing, and pre-customized computer applications, and manages customers' hardware, software, and networks.

ReWorld operates a social networking Internet website built around sustainable development.  The website allows individuals, companies and associations to exchange information, conduct marketing, and recruit members.

Flat Glass Group Co., Ltd is a PV glass manufacturer. The Company also markets float glass, household glass and architectural glass.

Axcelis Technologies, Inc. manufactures components for the semiconductor industry. The Company designs, manufactures and services ion implantation, dry strip, thermal processing and curing equipment used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips. Axcelis Technologies sells their products to semiconductor chip manufacturers worldwide.

eMemory Technology, Inc. develops and provides logic non-volatile memory (LogicNVM) technology. The company licenses its intellectual property to semiconductor foundries, integrated devices manufacturers (IDMs), and fabless design houses around the world.

ROHM COMPANY LIMITED manufactures custom linear integrated circuits and semiconductor devices for use primarily in consumer electronics.  The Company has plants and sales offices worldwide.  Rohm's subsidiaries include Wako Electric and Apollo Electronics.

Diodes Incorporated manufactures and supplies discrete, logic, and analog semiconductor devices to consumers in the electronics, computing, industrial, communications, and automotive markets. The Company's products include diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, single gate logic, LED drivers, and USB switches.

Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. supplies silicon-based products, including silicon lapped wafer, silicon diffusion wafer, silicon ingot, silicon diffused diode chip, and automobile rectifier.  The Company sells its products worldwide.

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd is a Chinese power company that produces solar grade polysilicon and operates cogeneration plants and in China.

King Yuan Electronics Co., Ltd. provides integrated circuit (IC) testing services to semiconductor manufacturers.  The Company tests the logic, memory, and burn-in functions of ICs.  King Yuan also specializes in IC reeling, packaging, and wafer grinding.

Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. manufactures discrete semiconductor devices. The Company's main products are High Voltage Diode, Silicon Rectifier Diode, Silicon Bridge Rectifier, MWO High Voltage Silicon Diode and special High Voltage Silicon Diode .

The Company uses its Smart Cut process to modify silicon to allow for more speed and less consumption of power. Soitec offers its products around the world to the energy, electronic, and solar energy industries.
