Move over Lyft and Uber. Here comes a more exciting IPO -  Slack Technologies, which is expected to complete its direct public offering (DPO) in the US in the next several weeks. The company has chosen to bypass the bankers and sell its shares directly to the public. Established in 2009, Slack's is mainly an enterprise software company. Slack is a dominant player in the workplace collaboration, communication, and workflow enterprise software segment. Slack's products help its users to improve the email, chat, and other communication tools at work. Slack's products help to improve the use of emails and chats in a more group team and channel approach in allowing multi-users access the flow of information among various team members. Slack has excellent sales growth and impressive data on scaling up the business. Slack's revenue increased from $105.2 million in FY17 to $400.6 million in FY19 (period ending January), a CAGR of 95.1% during this period. Operating loss as a percentage of sales improved from -141.2% in FY17 to -65.2% in FY18 and -38.5% in FY19.
