<ul><li>EU deforestation legislation – trade barrier for Indo and African rubber Concerns have emerged in the rubber market about the impact of the Council's agreement on new rules to drive down deforestation and forest degradation globally, with natural rubber now on the list.</li><li>While the rubber market is struggling with multiple challenges owing to demand lull, oversupply, and negative margins, the emergence of new international climate change and deforestation-linked legislation could potentially turn out to be a major trade barrier. While the market might need to wait a little bit longer to get a clearer picture of the actual situation, there seems to be some tension amid the rubber producers.</li><li>"I have been meaning to write to those guys," a producer source noted. According to industry experts, the Parliament's amendment will go back to the commission.</li></ul>
