Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

Periscope Analytics works with multi-strategy hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, stat arb trading groups and long-only investors that invest and trade in the Asia Pacific region with the data being used to trade index rebalances, avoid pre-positioning and passive flow, and to time entry into and exit from stocks.

<li>Amid a global deceleration, India's real GDP grew 13.5%YoY in Apr-Jun'22, led by GFCF(+20%YoY) and PCE(+26%YoY). Actual growth was under-estimated because of errors in deflators for GDP and net exports. </li>
<li>Nominal GDP growth of 26.7%YoY enabled corporate tax revenue to rise 35%YoY and income taxes 50%YoY, bringing the 12mma of the fiscal deficit down to 6.1% of GDP. </li>
<li>As the government's market borrowing declines, it will crowd-in more private investment, enabling real GDP to grow 8% in FY23 despite the global slowdown. Stay Overweight. </li>

India: De-Leveraged, and Hence Set on a Path of Investment-Led Growth

<li>We continue to see global equities as being in pullback mode, with the MSCI ACWI index (ACWI-US) already testing important support in the $86-87 range, highlighted last week.</li>
<li>A bounce here would be ideal for the bullish case, but we could easily see a test of the YTD lows near $81.50 if $86 fails to hold.</li>
<li>Japan's TOPIX/Nikkei225/TOPIX Small remain bullish, as does India's SENSEX -- add exposure. Seeing some failed breakouts in Europe, notably the EURO STOXX 50 and STOXX Europe 600; a concerning development.</li>
