It operates through four divisions: Investment, Non-Life Direct Insurance, Non-Life Reinsurance, and Life Insurance. The company offers oil and gas insurance products, including bodily injury and property damage insurance for oil and gas lease operators, drilling contractors, and oil or gas well service contractors; drilling barge and platform insurance; oil and gas well drilling equipment floater insurance; energy exploration and development insurance; and offshore construction projects insurance. It also provides marine insurance comprising hull, P and I, personal accident, cargo, engineering, construction all risks, erection all risks, electronic equipment, and machinery breakdown insurance products; property insurance, such as property all risks, fire and special risks, money insurance, and theft insurance; and third party liability, product liability, workmen compensation, public liability, and professional indemnity insurance. In addition, the company offers personal accident, hospitalization and surgical allowance, and travel insurance; motor vehicle insurance; voluntary medical insurance; and reinsurance business, which include inward reinsurance and outward reinsurance. Further, it provides risk management and consultancy; survey, inspection, loss adjusting, claims compensation, subrogating services, etc.; and investment products, such as term deposits, bonds, shares, and investment trusts. The company was formerly known as PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation and changed its name to PVI Holdings in June 2011. PVI Holdings was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam.
