Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited plans, promotes, develops, operates, and maintains an integrated power transmission system/network in Bangladesh. The company also leases optical fibers primarily to telecom operators; and provides consultancy services in power systems, as well as executes jobs for other organizations. As of June 30, 2015, its transmission lines included 164.70 circuit kilometers of 400 KV lines; 3,171.45 circuit kilometers of 230 KV lines; 6,273.63 circuit kilometers of 132 KV lines; one 400/230 KV substation; 19 230/132 KV substations; and 89 132/33 KV substations. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
