Short interest on the potential inclusions has been decreasing and is currently near the lows while short interest on the potential deletions has been steadily increasing and is at the highs.

We see Nuix Limited (NXL AU), Codan Ltd (CDA AU) and Pilbara Minerals (PLS AU) as potential inclusions to the index, while we see Service Stream (SSM AU), Tassal (TGR AU) and Bravura Solutions (BVS AU) as potential exclusions from the index.
Champion Iron (CIA AU) and De Grey Mining (DEG AU) are close adds while Gwa Group Ltd (GWA AU) and Smartgroup Corp (SIQ AU) are close deletes.
Short interest on the potential inclusions has been decreasing and is currently near the lows while short interest on the potential deletions has been steadily increasing and is at the highs.
Since the last index review in December, PointsBet Holdings Pty Ltd (PBH AU) was included in the index replacing Saracen Mineral Holdings (SAR AU) following its merger of equals with Northern Star Resources (NST AU).

<ul><li>A lift in new dwelling investment to a record high has underpinned Australia's current housing expansion.  The revolution in Australian housing reflects a shift towards higher density dwellings.  Building approvals for high density dwellings now accounts for half of residential approvals, well above the historical norm of around one-third.  Moreover, within the higher density segment, there has been a shift towards apartment blocks with four or more storeys.</li><li>Evidente believes that Australia's housing revolution is here to stay.  Australia's urban population density is still amongst the lowest in the world, consumer tastes continue to evolve towards more affordable, apartment living, and there are simply physical limits to the urban sprawl in Australia's major cities.</li><li>I identify two listed stocks that are leveraged to the prospect of strong growth in transport infrastructure designed to ease traffic congestion associated with more higher density dwellings: toll road operator, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/593" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:593">Transurban Group (TCL AU)</a>, and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/12350" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:12350">Downer EDI Ltd (DOW AU)</a>, which generates more than one-third of its revenues from its transport services and rail divisions.</li><li>Around the new normal however, booms and busts are inevitable. Macroeconomics

We think the case is clear for the RBA to cut rates tomorrow and are predicting this outcome.  The much lower core inflation reading, evidence of tightening bank credit conditions, some softening recently in credit growth, cooler job vacancies, a stronger AUD, some renewed doubts on China and timing of the 2 July election suggest the RBA needs to be decisive and get ahead of expectations.  Consequently we see further weakness in the AUD and continue to favour gold as we discussed last week outlining risks in China that may spill over to global asset markets and the rebounding JPY that may push the BoJ toward more easing.

In Australia, economic momentum picked up in 2015, but has been more mixed in 2016.  The housing market is starting to ebb from strong levels, political risks remain elevated, bank equity performance has been weak, potentially a drag on confidence.  However, Global drivers remain in control, and while uncertainty is elevated in Australia, it is not clear that it will be sufficient to throw the Australian economy off course.  The RBA Statement continued to express a steady policy outlook albeit with an easing bias.
