<li>SSNB is a Japanese digital bank set up as a 50-50 joint venture between Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Japan’s largest trust bank, and SBI Group, a financial services firm. </li>
<li>The deal, if successful, would be Japan’s first online-only bank to go public. In this note we will talk about the not so positive aspects of the deal.</li>

<li>Hang Seng announced the results of the March rebalance post market close Friday. Two adds for the HSI, one set of changes for HSCEI, three sets for HSTECH.</li>
<li>An ad hoc rebalance was announced for the KOSDAQ150 following Osstem being designated an 'Administrative Issue'. In IPO world, we have LIC in India and SBI Sumishin NetBank coming up.</li>
<li>Friday was the review cutoff date for the March rebalance of the ASX200 Index. The ATO has provided Aventus with the tax ruling and that creates a timing issue.</li>

<li>Foreigners net purchased 2.6 trillion won worth of five major Korean bank stocks from 8/26/2021 to 2/11/2022. Foreigners were net buyers of 1.8 trillion won worth of KOSPI stocks.</li>
<li>This means that foreigners were net sellers of 0.8 trillion won worth of other KOSPI stocks (excluding the five major banking stocks). </li>
<li>The five major bank stocks in Korea currently have average dividend yield of 5.4%. DPS for the five major Korean banks increased by 70.9% YoY on average in 2021.</li>
</ul>

<li>What is concerning is that the local pension funds nearly neglected net purchase of all other 2,400+ stocks in Korea.</li>
<li>NPS and local pension funds may have less room to overly support LG Energy Solution and other Korean stocks in February. </li>
</ul>
