A surprisingly poor employment report in the US became the central focus among investors across the globe on Friday. In May the US added just 38,000 jobs, well under the expected 156,000.A poor jobs report has triggered widespread concerns that a weak external environment is starting to feed through to infect the US economy. These concerns reflect the risk of what we define as a ‘bad de-polarization’ playing out in the global economy.Currently the global economy is extremely polarized (there is a large divergence between the health of the worlds strongest and weakest economies). As the global economy de-polarizes the health of the weakest economies will rise to converge with that of the strongest economies (a good de-polarization) or vice versa.

Wilmar has been coping with protracted softness in edible oil&nbsp;prices since early 2011.Coming into 2015, slowing oil palm acreage&nbsp;growth in Indonesia and Malaysia, coupled with more favourable&nbsp;biodiesel mandates in Indonesia, stirred an upbeat mood in the&nbsp;capital market on the firm's profit recovery, but prices have&nbsp;continued to decline.We believe that an abundant soybean supply--a substitute edible&nbsp;oil source--will limit palm oil price growth over the long term.In the downstream segment, Wilmar&rsquo;s oilseed crushing and refining&nbsp;business is plagued by severe industry overcapacity.Wilmar chose to diversify toward the sugar business amid the&nbsp;turmoil in the edible oil market. By the end of 2014, its sugar&nbsp;business contributed 9.4% of total sales, up from 6.8% in 2011.&nbsp;Diversification will reduce the firm's overall exposure to edible oil&nbsp;prices. Nonetheless, sugar prices are sluggish as well.Analyst: Dan Baker

PPB Group Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company offers palm oil, fats products, oleochemicals, rubber, lubricants, ozone acids, glycerine, and fatty acids, as well as provides vegetable farming and cattle rearing services. Sime Darby Plantation serves customers in Asia.

QL Resources Berhad is an investment holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the Company manufactures and sells fishmeal, surimi, and surimi based products, distributes animal feed raw materials, animal health products, and layer farming, and cultivates oil palm and crude palm oil milling.

United Plantations Berhad (U.P.) cultivates and processes oil palm and coconut. Through its subsidiaries, the Company manufactures edible oils, fats, soap products and cocoa butter. United Plantations also transports and stores vegetable oil and molasses, and has operation in engineering consultancy services.

FGV Holdings Bhd is an agricultural and agri-commodities company. The Company owns and operates an oil palm plantation producing oil palm and rubber plantation products, soybean and canola products, oleochemial products and sugar products.

Genting Plantations Berhad is an investment holding company which operates plantations. The Company, through its subsidiaries, also develops and invests in properties, processes fresh fruit bunches, trades rubber wood, provides palm oil mill management services, and operates golf course.

Guan Chong Bhd, through its subsidiaries, manufactures cocoa-derived food ingredients, including cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, cocoa cake, and cocoa powder. The Company's products are exported to various countries around the world.

Universal Robina Corporation manufactures, markets, and distributes branded consumer foods. The Company's products include hogs and poultry farming, animal feeds, corn products, and animal health products.

YAMAZAKI BAKING CO., LTD. produces baking foods including bread, pastry, and cake.  The Company operates nationwide sales network.  YAMAZAKI BAKING also operates franchised cafeterias and convenience stores.

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk manufactures and distributes animal feeds, woven plastic bags, and poultry equipment as well as processes chicken.  Through its subsidiaries, the Company also operates poultry farms and distributes its products.

New Hope Liuhe Co Ltd develops, produces, and markets a variety of animal feeds The Company also operates a commercial tradingbusiness, produces packing materials, chemicals and fish oil, and provides consulting services.

MeiHua Holdings Group Co., Ltd. manufactures various pharmaceuticals. The Company manufactures monosodium glutamate, amino acids, L-Threonine L-Glutamine  L-Proline  and Natamycin.

Jiangxi Zhengbang Technology Co., Ltd. produces and markets forage and forage additive for livestock and poultry. The company also produces and markets livestock, poultry and aquatic products.

IOI Corporation Berhad cultivates and processes oil palm and rubber.
