<ul>
<li>Japan's rising defense budget and military collaboration with the US and Europe should support a high level of orders for the foreseeable future.</li>
<li>Defense is the growth driver, but other divisions should hold up well due to the ongoing rationalization of operations.</li>
<li>Profits should rebound this year and rise further in FY Mar-26, bringing the P/E down to 9X or less. The weak yen is a large positive. </li>
</ul>


Japan's rising defense budget and military collaboration with the US and Europe should support a high level of orders for the foreseeable future.

<li>Our bullish outlook (since early-November 2023) remains intact. Continue to ride this trend higher and buy dips as long as ACWI-US and EEM-US remain above supports at $110 and $41-$42.</li>
<li>In our previous Int'l Compass (June 27) we discussed the rotation that we believed was starting, whereby global Technology (IXN-US) would consolidate as investors rotate to laggard areas.</li>
<li>This rotation has continued while Technology goes through a healthy consolidation. Continue to focus on other more value-oriented Sectors while Technology/growth consolidates</li>

HOSHIZAKI ELECTRIC CORPORATION manufactures and sells commercial use kitchen equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, food/beverage dispensers.  The Company has sales subsidiaries across Japan as well as overseas.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. designs, develops, and manufactures transport equipment and industrial heavy machinery for military and commercial use. Haitian International Holdings Ltd. designs, develops, manufactures, sells and supports plastic injection moulding machines and related parts.  The Company's products are used in such industries as automotive, construction materials, healthcare, logistics, packaging, IT, household appliances, electronics and other consumer products, to produce plastic products and parts.

China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. designs and manufactures containers, airport facilities, internal combustion power-generating equipment, and trailers.  The Company also operates in the timber industry and real estate development.

Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd. operates as a shipbuilding and offshore company. Hanwha Ocean also offers onshore plants services.
