The DMP segment provides debt management plans for consumers who can repay their debts in full, if they are provided with some relief on the rate at which interest accrues on their debts; and offers consumers a fixed repayment discipline, as well as third party management of creditors. The Claims Management segment provides payment protection insurance, as well as switching facilities on personal outgoings, such as utility costs. The Legal Services segment offers a range of consumer-focused legal services, including family, personal injury, and clinical negligence through 12 offices. The company was formerly known as Debt Free Direct Group plc and changed its name to Fairpoint Group plc in January 2008.
