<li>Bio business sales increased by 39.3% YoY to 1.08 trillion won and operating profit jumped by 128% YoY 175.8 billion won in 1Q 2022, driven by strong demand for lysine. </li>
<li>We also like a pair trade between CJ Cheiljedang and CJ Logistics at current prices. We recommend on going long on CJ Cheiljedang and going short on CJ Logistics.</li>

<li>CJ Logistics, the largest logistics company in Korea, is facing four major headwinds which are likely to result in further downside risk for the stock in the next 6-12 months.</li>
<li>The four major headwinds include greater competition from Coupang (CPNG US), lower e-commerce demand (parcel delivery), higher fuel prices, and higher interest rates.</li>
<li>Amid the four major challenges, we believe the consensus earnings estimates are overly aggressive and they are likely to be revised down further in the next several months. </li>

CJ Logistics, the largest logistics company in Korea, is facing four major headwinds which are likely to result in further downside risk for the stock in the next 6-12 months.
The four major headwinds include greater competition from Coupang (CPNG US), lower e-commerce demand (parcel delivery), higher fuel prices, and higher interest rates.

<li>We can consider three types of dividend stocks, targeting the March 31 dividend base date: 1. 1Q fiscal year-ending dividends, 2. Interim (quarterly) dividends, 3. REITs regular dividends</li>
<li>The ex-dividend price corrections of fiscal year-ending dividend stocks have been pretty tight recently. In addition, the futures basis has not reached a desirable level either.</li>
<li>So, either outright dividend trading or dividend arb play does not have much trade opening. So, I'd consider setting up a long/short basket trading, by focusing on high DTV ones.</li>

KOSPI/KOSDAQ End-March Dividends: 1Q Fiscal Year-Ending, Interim(Quarterly), & REITs

<li>On 22 February, the KRX announced that LG Energy Solution (373220 KS) will be included in numerous local indices including KOSPI 200, KOSPI 100, and KRX 100 effective 3/11/2022.</li>
<li>This has been widely expected by the market. Due to the inclusion in KOSPI 200, investors will be able to short LG Energy Solution starting 11 March. </li>
<li>Once Dongwon F&amp;B is excluded from the KOSPI 200 index, this could be a key buying opportunity on this stock, given the company's solid fundamentals. </li>
</ul>


On 22 February, the KRX announced that LG Energy Solution (373220 KS) will be included in numerous local indices including KOSPI 200, KOSPI 100, and KRX 100 effective 3/11/2022.
