<ul><li>Banks lead Q3 2023 net institutional inflow INSTITUTIONS were again net buyers of Singapore stocks over the five trading sessions through to Oct 5, with S$100 million of net institutional inflow, and 24 primary-listed companies conducting buybacks with a total consideration of S$38.5 million.</li><li>ComfortDelGro saw S$71 million of net institutional fund inflow in Q3 2023, after booking S$44 million of net institutional fund outflow in H1 2023.</li></ul>

Banks lead Q3 2023 net institutional inflow INSTITUTIONS were again net buyers of Singapore stocks over the five trading sessions through to Oct 5, with S$100 million of net institutional inflow, and 24 primary-listed companies conducting buybacks with a total consideration of S$38.5 million.ComfortDelGro saw S$71 million of net institutional fund inflow in Q3 2023, after booking S$44 million of net institutional fund outflow in H1 2023.

Keppel Infrastructure Trust / Equity Bottom-Up

<ul><li>OCBC, CapitaLand Investment, UOBKH lead buyback tally OCBC led the share buyback consideration tally, buying back 1.2 million shares at an average price of S$12.74 per share, followed by CapitaLand Investment, which bought back two million shares at an average price of S$3.03 per share.</li><li>This was due mainly to the increase in revenue from hotel operations of S$34.7 million and rental of investment properties of S$2.3 million.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Last week, the trio of DBS, UOB and OCBC averaged 3.4% gains, bringing their average 3Q23-to-date total return to 8.7%.</li><li>The 3Q23-to-date has seen the trio of DBS, UOB & OCBC report combined 2Q23 Net Interest Income (NII) of S$8.26 billion, marking the third-consecutive quarter that combined quarterly NII has been above the S$8.0 billion mark.</li><li>DBS Group Holdings (DBS), United Overseas Bank (UOB) and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) also moved in tandem averaging a 4% gain on the week.</li></ul>

Global Banks Led Stocks on the Week with Arm IPO & Growth Outlook

<ul><li>For the first three weeks of August, the STI declined 6.5% in-line with the FTSE China A50 Index losing 6.6%, before the STI retraced 2.5% of those losses to finish the month down 4.2%.</li><li>Singapore stocks booked net institutional inflows of S$408 million and net retail inflows of S$600 million over the month.</li><li>As tabled above, Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) booked S$163 million of net retail inflows in August, taking the accumulated net retail inflows for the first eight months of 2023 to S$201 million.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Share buybacks by primary listed companies 4 - 10 Aug 2023 Institutions were net buyers of Singapore stocks over the four trading sessions through to Aug 10, with S$136 million of net institutional inflow, with eight primary-listed companies conducting buybacks with a total consideration of S$7.7 million.</li><li>The previous mandate saw the company buy back 14,250,100 of its shares which represented 2.12 per cent of its total number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares).</li></ul>
