Auctus Advisors is a specialist Equity Capital Markets and Advisory business with a focus in the Energy Sector. The partners have complementary skill sets, with decades of experience across Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking and the Energy industry. We have worked at Société Générale, Canaccord Capital, BMO Capital Markets and Schlumberger. Most recently we have worked together for many years at GMP FirstEnergy. Auctus has been set up at the beginning of a new decade in which we see significant opportunities in the Energy space. Globally, demand for energy is at record levels and continues to grow. Conversely, investment in traditional energy sources has been severely constrained. We believe this imbalance creates opportunities for both companies and investors. Auctus provides Corporate Broking, Equity Research and Investment Banking services.

It highlights the company’s desire for a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035, to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and to have no methane emissions by 2026. This reflects Canacol Energy’s position as a top decile upstream performer in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.</p>

Canacol Energy - 2022 ESG report highlights new goals

<p>Canacol Energy released its Q223 results on 10 August, which were in line with our full year expectations. Adjusted Q2 EBITDAX increased to US$60.7m, which represents a 10% increase year on year. This was driven primarily by a rise in netbacks, which increased to US$3.94/mcf in the quarter, compared to US$3.66/mcf in Q222. We are not changing our forecasts after these numbers.</p>
