Our unique research methodology, centered on relative strength, enables our strategists to deliver superior investment recommendations.

Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

<li>Our bullish outlook (since early-November 2023) remains intact. Continue to ride this trend higher and buy dips as long as ACWI-US and EEM-US remain above supports at $110 and $41-$42.</li>
<li>In our previous Int'l Compass (June 27) we discussed the rotation that we believed was starting, whereby global Technology (IXN-US) would consolidate as investors rotate to laggard areas.</li>
<li>This rotation has continued while Technology goes through a healthy consolidation. Continue to focus on other more value-oriented Sectors while Technology/growth consolidates</li>

Our bullish outlook (since early-November 2023) remains intact. Continue to ride this trend higher and buy dips as long as ACWI-US and EEM-US remain above supports at $110 and $41-$42.

Closing expected to take 6-8 months.</li>
<li>Gross spread (CSP 27 May) is 7.6%, which This translates in a 52% implied probability of deal success. The fixed income market appears to share this view.</li>
<li>Nevertheless, from a long-only perspective, the risk/reward of Sabadell is interesting. The deal values Sabadell's shares at €2.07 each, an implied equity value of €11,187 million, for a 0.92 P/TBV.</li>

On 24 May, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentari (BBVA SM) submitted the authorisation request for its all-stock offer for Banco De Sabadell SA (SAB SM). Closing expected to take 6-8 months.
Gross spread (CSP 27 May) is 7.6%, which This translates in a 52% implied probability of deal success. The fixed income market appears to share this view.
Nevertheless, from a long-only perspective, the risk/reward of Sabadell is interesting. The deal values Sabadell's shares at €2.07 each, an implied equity value of €11,187 million, for a 0.92 P/TBV.


BBVA Files Hostile Offer: Conditions, Defences and Probabilities

<li>Press reports that CriteriaCaixa and TAQA will launch their takeover bid for Naturgy at €27/share imminently, with conversations between CriteriaCaixa and TAQA on the distribution of control practically finished. </li>
<li>The offer will target approximately 54% of the share capital of Naturgy. TAQA must go through an exhaustive permit request process due to the highly regulated businesses of Naturgy.</li>
<li>The shares look fairly priced vs. comparables. At the closing share price of 22 May of €24.92/share, I would be long Naturgy (gross spread to hypothetical offer is 7.7%).</li>
</ul>

EURO STOXX 50 Price EUR / Technical Analysis

<li>We continue to view the latest pullback as healthy and normal within the ongoing bull market on MSCI ACWI (ACWI-US) and the EURO STOXX 50, as discussed April 18</li>
<li>Discussed last Thursday(4/18/24) how further downside may be limited with these indexes 4-5% off their highs, combined with ACWI-US testing gap support ($105) and the EURO STOXX50 testing 6-month uptrend. </li>
<li>So far, these supports have held strong, and Japan's TOPIX has also held strong above 2615 support -- with all producing strong bounces far this week.</li>
</ul>
