iShares MSCI ACWI ETF / Technical Analysis

<li>The pullback in global equities continues with the MSCI ACWI (ACWI-US) testing 1.5-month downtrend resistance while the STOXX Europe 50 tests resistance at 3800-3840.</li>
<li>We expect a rejection at the 1.5-month downtrend and for the stair-step lower to continue, with our targets being $84 (December 2022 low) and potentially $75-77 (the 2022 lows).</li>
<li>If ACWI-US is able to reverse above the 1.5-month downtrend, we still expect $93 to cap upside in 2023. Remain overweight Europe. Also highlighting individual stock buys on pullbacks.</li>

Global Equity Strategy: Growth Sectors Continue To Improve -- Add Exposure

On 2 November, <a href="https://tenderoffer.alfalaval.com/pdf/Alfa%20Laval%20-%20Preliminary%20Result%20of%20the%20Tender%20Offer%20Release%20-%20ENG.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alfa Laval AB published the preliminary result</a> of the offer:

<li>It has received acceptances representing approximately 33% of the shares in Neles.</li>
</ul>
Alfa Laval said that it "will confirm and announce the final result of the offer on or about 4 November". If Alfa Laval does not achieve &gt;50% of Neles' shares, which is the most likely case, this could leave Valmet in a better position to pursue its Neles merger ambitions, on its own terms.
Neles shares closed on 3 November at 10.49, c. 9% below Alfa Laval's bid.
Valmet shares have lost €3.54 (c. 15%) since <a href="https://www.valmet.com/media/news/stock-exchange-releases/2020/valmet-acquires-14.9-ownership-in-the-future-neles/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announcing the acquisition</a> of a 14.9% stake in Neles on 17 June. If Alfa's bid fails this likely leaves Valmet as the only obvious buyer (with a 29.57% stake in Neles, it is unlikely that any other bidder enters the fray).
The implied equity valuation of Neles on a NTM EV/EBITDA median multiple is €13.72 per share and on a NTM EPS median multiple is €13.0 per share. Taking an average of both gives €13.36 per share. Valmet could better by 16% the almost failed bid by Alfa Laval (c. 28% upside to the current level where Neles shares are trading).
Valmet would likely issue shares for an amount of €1,413 mn (a 31% dilution). The Finnish state (11.2% of Valmet) supports Valmet's pursuit of Neles.
I believe that given Valmet's interest on Neles, there is upside to Neles' share price, and recommend LONG NELES. Once Alva Laval retires, further negotiations between Neles and Valmet will likely take place, followed by a bid from Valmet on terms clearer than the initial approach and with a more detailed account of synergies, in my view.

SKF AB develops, produces, and markets products, solutions, and services in the rolling bearing and seal business.  The Company's product line includes ball and roller bearings, specialty bearings, sealing systems, linear motion products, tools for mounting and dismounting bearings, and measuring and monitoring instruments.  SKF markets to industrial companies worldwide.

Trelleborg AB manufactures and distributes industrial products.  The Company produces noise supression and anti-vibration systems for the automobile industry and complete wheel systems for forest and farm machines and other equipment. Trelleborg also develops and makes industrial fluid systems and polymer and bitumen based building products.  The Company markets worldwide.

Beijer Alma AB, through subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, and markets industrial components.  The Company makes specialty cables, industrial springs and wire components, valves, dampers, and ventilators, as well as precision parts using the high speed machining and salt bath dip brazing techniques. Beijer Alma sells to telecommunications, electronic, and high-tech companies.

VBG Group AB develops and manufactures equipment for heavy vehicles.  The Company markets trailer couplings with coupling equipment, anti-skid devices and dropside pillars, as well as shaft-hub connections and frictions springs for the machine industry.  VBG is also a distributor of fifth wheel products.  The Company sells its products in Europe, Asia, and North Ameria.

AddTech AB offers high-tech industrial components and systems.  The Company creates customer specific solutions within the areas Equipment, Transmission, and Components.  AddTech works in close cooperation with both customers and suppliers.  The Company's largest customer segments are the engineering, telecommunications, automotive, and electronic industries in the Nordic area.

Indutrade AB provides engineering and equipment, flow technology, industrial components, and special products.  The Company sells its products to industrial companies primarily in Northern Europe.

Lifco AB operates as a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, provides dental products, machinery and tools, sawmill equipment, contract manufacturing, vehicle interiors, and environmental technology. Lifco offers its products through a network of subsidiaries and partnerships worldwide.

Saab AB is a high technology company.  The Company develops, manufactures, and delivers advanced products for the defense market.  Saab's operations include defense technology, command and control systems, military and commercial aircraft, and technical services, as well as missiles, space equipment, and aviation services.  The Company sells and markets its products internationally.

Beijer Ref AB, through subsidiaries, manufactures cooling and heating systems, and is a supplier of raw materials, industrial equipment, tools, and parts.  The Company's product range includes rubber and plastic products, packing materials, as well as air conditioning and refrigeration systems.  Beijer operates and sells its products to large industrial companies in northern Europe.

XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. manufactures and markets a variety of construction machinery including road construction machinery, scrapers, concrete mixers and other related products.

FANUC CORPORATION manufactures factory automation (FA) systems and equipments, and robots. The Company's products include computerized numerically-controlled (CNC) equipment, servo motors, laser systems, industrial robots, wire-cut electric discharge machines, and CNC drill.  Fanuc participates in a joint venture with General Electric in the FA field.

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. is a diversified global provider of hand tools, power tools and related accessories, mechanical access and electronic security solutions, healthcare solutions, engineered fastening systems, and more.

Graco Inc. supplies technology for the management of fluids in both industrial and commercial applications.  The Company designs, manufactures, and markets systems to move, measure, control, dispense, and apply fluid materials.  Graco's products are used for applying paints and coatings, high-pressure cleaning of equipment, and lubricating and maintaining vehicles and other equipment.

China CSSC Holdings Ltd. offers shipbuilding, ship components, ship repairing and diesel engines manufacturing. The Company distributes its products within the domestic market and to overseas markets.

Donaldson Company, Inc. manufactures filtration systems and replacement parts. The Company's products include filters and emission control products for heavy duty mobile equipment, in-plant air cleaning systems, air intake systems for industrial gas turbines, and specialized filters for computer disk drives, aircraft cabins, and semiconductors. Donaldson operates around the world.

Nordson Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets systems that apply adhesives, sealants, and coatings to consumer and industrial products during manufacturing operations.  The Company's products include customized electronic controls for the precise application and curing of materials to meet customers' requirements.  Nordson operates around the world.

Minebea Mitsumi manufactures and markets miniature and instrument ball bearings.  The Company also makes DC motors, servo motors, stepping motors, spindle motors, pivot assemblies, rod-end and spherical bearings, fasteners, and computer keyboards. Minebea Mitsumi has production facilities in Thailand and Singapore.

China Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited designs, manufactures, sells and leases ship parts.  The Company's products include engines and parts, auxiliay engines and transportation equipment.

Cummins India Limited manufactures internal combustion engines, including diesel, reciprocating piston, gas turbine and gasoline engines. The Company also manufactures generating sets and public transport-type passenger motor vehicles, including luxury coaches and air-field buses.  In addition, Cummins India Ltd. operates a computerized and fully-equipped research and development facility.

Alfa Laval AB provides specialized products and engineering solutions.  The Company's product line includes equipment and systems for heating, cooling, separation, and transportation of products such as oil, water, chemicals, beverages, starch, foodstuffs, and pharmaceuticals.  Alfa Laval sells and markets worldwide.
