<li>In August, Reuters suggested <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/meituan-dianping" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:26970:1" rel="noopener">Meituan (3690 HK)</a> was next. Tencent denied it, but in November with Q3 earnings, announced a January 2023 distribution with March 2023 settlement. </li>
<li>US$16bn of Meituan shares get delivered on 24 March 2023 - this Friday. That's a lot. <em>But this time is different than last time.</em>

<li>Consumption is another major stimulus for economic growth, and more supportive measures will be rolled out - we have seen many cities planning to hand out consumption vouchers.</li>

<li>In a surprise, the Hang Seng index committee has decided not to make any changes to the <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/hong-kong-hang-seng-index" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:22899:1" rel="noopener">Hong Kong Hang Seng Index (HSI INDEX)</a> at the March rebalance.</li>
<li>This further delays the timeline for the index to reach 80 constituents. The earliest we will reach the target now is June 2023 (a year later than targeted).</li>
<li>Despite no changes to the index constituents, capping and float changes will lead to a one-way turnover of 2.61% resulting in a one-way trade of HK$5.1bn.</li>
</ul>
