Equity Bottom-Up

There are a few things that have taken place in the past few months for MyEG; share price of MyEG has been sold off due to a close association with the fallen of the previous PM, changing from GST to SST that presumably may reduce revenue from the GST filing, signed an MOA with Bangladesh government - a mixed bag of negative and positive driver to the group's business. In this report, we will try to answer the following question:<ol>
<li>share price sold off - what is the implication to the valuation</li>
<li>changing from GST to SST - what is the impact to the group's revenue</li>
<li>non-concessionary venture</li>
<li>e-government service to other countries</li>
<li>what shall we do with the current valuation; buy, hold or sell?</li>

Despite the economic slowdown and low oil price, remittance continues to be an important component of Philippine's GDP. The OFWs are infamous for having the right working culture and always try to send money back to improve the living condition back home. <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/329" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:329:1">BDO Unibank Inc (BDO PM)</a> holds the largest share of the remittance from OFW and is controlled by <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/20015" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20015:1">Sm Investments Corp (SM PM)</a>. This relationship also benefits BDO when SM develops malls, BDO will automatically be the preferred bank of these malls.

Singapore’s REIT Sector also maintains a competitive edge with higher average yields and lower average gearing ratios than the combined REIT Sector of Japan, Australia and Hong Kong. §  The NikkoAM - StraitsTrading Asia ex Japan REIT ETF  which is expected to include up to 70% weightage in Singapore REITs is scheduled to list on SGX on 29 March 2017. Ascendas REIT and CapitaLand Mall Trust are expected to maintain relatively large weightings in the ETF.
