The turnaround is still in its early stages, but we believe it could yield good results in a relatively short time frame. Progress in the US, the largest GIS software market and one where 1Spatial has historically been underrepresented, is promising.

The turnaround is still in its early stages, but we believe it could yield good results in a relatively short timeframe. The market for GIS technology is large and growing at a double-digit rate and we believe that 1Spatial has the customer base, technology and expertise to capitalise on this. Recent contract wins in the UK and the US indicate the turnaround is on track. We believe there is substantial intrinsic value within the business, which with continued execution should be unlocked.

As a result the company expects to be marginally loss-making at the EBITDA level versus our &#163;3.7m profit previously. We welcome the exit from the non-core Avisen and Storage Fusion businesses in the name of improving focus. We still believe that the company&#8217;s core strategy of building the GIS business around higher-margin and recurring revenue lines is sound, although &#8211; as is often the case &#8211; the transition is proving more protracted and painful than initially anticipated.
