Lucror Analytics is a leading credit and ESG research specialist and a provider of technology solutions for differentiated fixed income strategies. In our view, JSW's Q4/22-23 results were better than expected, with much higher sequential earnings due to increased steel prices and a rise in volumes. The financial risk profile deteriorated from FYE 2021-22, but has improved since end-December 2022. Net Debt/EBITDA was high at 3.2x at end-March 2023, but management has guided for an improvement in steel prices and earnings in the future. Liquidity is weak, given the high capex requirement.
